Questions about ED-MEDIA 2009 / Honolulu / Hawaii???

For some of us, ED-MEDIA 2009 will be our first ED-MEDIA, or our first time in Honolulu. For some others, ED-MEDIA 2009 will be a continuation of a long series of ED-MEDIA conferences, and/or Honolulu is a first or second home.

If you have any questions about the conference or about Hawaii, please ask your questions here and we'll try to get you some answers.

Some participants might spend a few days before and/or after the conference with intensified research on 'What is so special about Hawaii?' I never made it to Honolulu (even though I visited most of the states) and would love to read about a list of must-do's. Assuming, that Honolulu is not the only beautiful place on Hawaii. My girl-friend is already reading every book about Tourism, so I might contribute some places that are mentioned in these books but it would be great to have further reports of "secret" locations .... Here is one I heard from others: Helicopter Tour through the crater on Hawaii Island and the water falls in the north of the same island. For the latter ones, maybe not through but keeping some distance.; ▶ Reply to This

Each island has its own charm. I certainly would encourage you to take the helicopter tour over Volcano National Park, but take it further - spend some time hiking around. It is absolutely awe inspiring. But remember, this is a religious place to the native Hawaiians - Pele lives there and she is very important to them.; ▶ Reply to This

During the registration, I did not sign up for the Heritage Tour, but would like to now. Is there a way for me to do so now? Tried to access the registration page on the website, but find that I can't register. Would appreciate some help on this.
BTW, am really looking forward to the conference. It's my first time at Ed Media. I'm sure it'll be an eye opener. Hope to learn lots and make friends from all over the world.; ▶ Reply to This
